Monday
Got up before 8:30. Only 12C/54F, the coldest morning thus far. I heated up the sauna and copied pictures to my laptop. Cheddar scrambled eggs for breakfast…yum!
I was planning to do laundry today but had to changes those plans. My cousin Harri called about going to Lappeenranta. Also got a text message from Terttu. We’re invited to Kotka today to visit our friends the Karkases. Our neighbor Leena joined us.
We arrived there in early afternoon. Had some coffee and sandwiches, then Terttu baked apple strudel. She and Leena went to downtown Kotka to visit Terttu’s friend while I visited with Raija and Raimo Karkas.
When Terttu and Leena returned, we had dinner then strudel and ice cream for desert. We left around 7:30, stopping at Alko and Prisma to pick up a few things.
Returned to Pihlaja a little after 9PM.
