Got up early. Noticed I’ve gotten quite a few mosquito bites already…guess they must like American meat 😉
Went to Terttu’s at 9AM to go to Hamina. She was having a problem with her car, but it checked out OK at the garage. We ran into my cousin Jouni’s wife Teija, who was also having some work done on her car.
Afterwards, Terttu and I shopped at Lidl and Alko. Took some pictures of my mom’s old school near the marketplace. Part of the building is being torn down, supposedly to make way for an indoor swimming pool/recreation center.
Got back to the cottage and I cooked my other package of marinated chicken and pasta for lunch. I was invited to Terttu’s for afternoon coffee, along with her cousins Pirjo and Irma and their husbands.
I invited Terttu, Leena and Arja over to our cottage for evening sauna, cards and wine. Heated sauna up to 80 degrees (176F).
Unfortunately, Leena fell and hurt her arm in the sauna. She said she wasn’t badly hurt but did wind up with black and blue marks. After sauna, we played Omsi and 7’s while having wine and snacks. They all left around midnight.
