Got up around 9:30AM. Started straightening up downstairs, then made some cheesy scrambled eggs for breakfast. My cousin Jouni called.

Cleaned the fireplace, Swiffered downstairs and took some stuff to the compost pile. Went to sauna, washed the breakfast dishes.

Jouni texted me to say he and his mom Meeri would stop by later in the afternoon. Cooked dinner: chicken, macaroni and potato wedges. Had to clean out the fridge since I’m leaving in the morning.

Jouni and Meeri arrived around 4:30PM. We chatted and I showed them my “toys”: the Kindle Fire and GoPro camera. Jouni wants me to buy a GoPro for him in the U.S…they cost twice as much in Finland.

They left before 6:30. I quickly got ready and went to Leena’s. We played some more Rack-O and had some drinks. She gave me some money to buy a couple Braille card games for her granddaughter Juuli. I’ll bring them my next visit to Finland.

Got back to the cottage around 8:30. Started raining. I watched some TV, including Edward Scissorhands. Turned in around 1AM.

Made a list of the TV channels we get at the cottage. With the roof antenna and digibox, we pick up about 10 stations. The YLE channels are non-commercial, government-owned. The rest are commercial stations (MTV3 is no relation to MTV Music Television).
