Thursday
Got up around 10. Had breakfast and did some straightening up. My mom’s cousin Marja-Liisa stopped by for a few minutes.
It was cool in the cottage, so I built a fire. Did some laundry, cooked spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, then took an after dinner nap.
I walked to check the post…no mail as usual. Stopped to say hi to neighbor Leena. She had been pulling weeds. Wound up staying for a few hours, playing Rack-O and having some adult beverages (beer, cider, cranberry long drink).
Visited my Aunt Meeri and Cousin Tapio for a few minutes. They had arrived in Pihlaja mid-afternoon. I didn’t stay long because Tapio had to be back in Helsinki Friday morning.
Came back to the cottage, built another fire and talked to my parents on Skype, albeit at a slower connection since I had exceeded my data allowance. Watched some TV (Castle, Frasier) and called it a night.
