Thursday

Got up around 9 and had breakfast. Mirja went to get her hair done.

Later, Harri and I went downtown so I get some winter pictures of Lappeenranta. We also stopped at the pilot station, Harri’s “office.” He and Mirja are both off work during much of the winter while the Saimaa Canal is frozen over. One more stop: Citymarket to pick up some groceries.

Came back to the house, talked with my folks by phone. We had dinner including hot wings and rice.

Harri, Mirja and I went bowling again in the evening. Returned home and installed some software on Mirja’s laptop. Went to bed around 11PM.

: This building will be torn down too. Note the Subway restaurant. Subway first arrived in Finland in the year 2000. By 2015 there should be 130 locations.
